The Israeli military has attacked the port infrastructure in the Yemeni province of Hodeidah. This was reported on May 16 by the local channel Al Masirah.

According to the TV channel, "Israeli aggression is directed against the port of Salif" in Hodeidah governorate on the Red Sea coast.

Saudi broadcaster Al Hadath, in turn, reported that Israel had carried out more than 10 airstrikes on port infrastructure facilities in western Yemen.

The information about the attack was later confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The IDF Telegram channel indicates that the ports of Hodeidah and Salif have become the targets of the Israeli military.

A day earlier, it was reported that the Houthis from the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement launched a fourth rocket attack on Ben Gurion airport in Israel. In addition, supporters of the movement announced the expansion of military operations to force Tel Aviv to end the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
