Matvey Ivanov, the head of the construction department of the public law company Military Construction Company (CPC VSK) in the Moscow Military District (MVO), was charged with accepting a bribe of 20 million rubles. This was reported on May 16 in the press service of the military investigative body of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).
It was established that in 2021, during the implementation of the national project "Demography", a contract was signed for the construction of an indoor football arena in Tver in the amount of over 900 million rubles. The work was carried out by subcontractors Avestal LLC and MKSM LLC. In 2022-2023. Ivanov received a bribe of 20 million rubles from Avestal for assistance in concluding contracts and patronage during their implementation.
"He is accused of receiving a particularly large bribe during the implementation of a national project (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the agency's Telegram channel says.
According to the military investigative body, Ivanov was placed under house arrest. The investigation of the criminal case is currently ongoing.
On the same day, the court arrested the mayor of Novocherkassk, Yuri Lysenko. The official is suspected of accepting a bribe in the amount of 8 million rubles. A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a particularly large bribe").
