Ukraine has terminated the agreement with Russia on customs cooperation

Ukraine has terminated the agreement with Russia on cooperation in the customs sphere. This was announced on May 16 by Taras Melnichuk, representative of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, in his Telegram channel.
"The agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters has expired," the channel's publication says.
The document was signed on June 24, 1993 in Kiev.
After the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, Kiev denounced a number of bilateral agreements with the Russian Federation in various fields. In particular, documents on the avoidance of double taxation and on the parallel operation of energy systems were denounced.
