A man was injured in an explosion of ammunition in the Kursk region.

In the village of Lyubimovka, Bolshesoldatsky district, Kursk region, a 57-year-old man was injured in an explosion while cleaning a warehouse. This was announced on May 16 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.

"The man was cleaning the warehouse area, picked up an explosive object, which exploded in his hands," Khinstein clarified in his Telegram channel.

Doctors diagnosed a shrapnel wound and a mine explosion injury to his right arm. Doctors had to amputate one of the fingers.

"The man is in a moderate condition, now he is under the supervision of doctors who provide all necessary assistance," the acting governor added.

Khinstein also reminded residents of the need to observe security measures and not touch suspicious objects.

Earlier in the day, two civilians were injured in the town of Shebekino, Belgorod region, as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a car. The victims themselves went to a local hospital. There they were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds, barotrauma and concussion.
