- The granddaughter of the ex-mayor of Samara Tarkhov complained about the lack of money and poor maintenance

Ekaterina Belskaya, the granddaughter of former Samara mayor Viktor Tarkhov, who is accused of his murder, told her friends in Georgia about the poor financial situation. This was announced on May 16 by a source of Izvestia.
Earlier that day, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced that it had charged Svetlana Metreveli, a native of the Samara region, and her nephew Dmitry Metreveli in absentia with complicity in the murder of Tarkhov. It is noted that Svetlana, being outside the Russian Federation, gave Belskaya advice and instructions, and Dmitry helped her on the spot. Both are on the international wanted list.
According to the source, the Metrevels are acquaintances of Belskaya from Georgia, with whom her friend brought her together. Tarkhov's granddaughter traveled to the neighboring country several times and lived with them.
"She complained that she didn't have enough money to live on, and her relatives didn't support her well, she wanted to somehow pressure them," the source said.
The murder of the ex-mayor of Samara Tarkhov and his wife Natalia became known on February 5. According to the investigation, they died about a month before the discovery of the bodies. The last time they were recorded was by surveillance cameras in the entrance of the house. After that, no one saw the couple, although messages continued to arrive on their behalf. Friends of the family contacted the police with a statement about the couple's disappearance.
Ekaterina, the granddaughter of the ex-mayor, was arrested on suspicion of double murder. According to the investigation, she had been sending SMS messages from Tarkhov and his wife's phones for a month. She also started selling her grandparents' property using forged documents. According to the Izvestia source, Ekaterina claimed that Tarkhov and his wife had left the country.
On February 28, the girl confessed. She explained that she poisoned relatives to take over their property, and then froze the bodies in nitrogen, after which they were dismembered by an accomplice. The Tarkhovs' remains were scattered in dumpsters. The man managed to leave the Samara region.
