Trump declared the inadmissibility of Iran's nuclear weapons

Washington has made it clear to Tehran that the country's acquisition of nuclear weapons is unacceptable. This was stated on May 16 by US President Donald Trump, stressing that Iran "has little time to think."
Departing from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the end of his Middle East tour, Trump noted that Iran should make a decision on the American proposal for a nuclear deal as soon as possible.
"I made it clear that they have almost no time left to think. Iran should not have nuclear weapons. They have an offer, but more importantly, they know that they need to hurry up, otherwise something terrible will happen," he told reporters aboard the Fox News plane.
The American leader noted that Tehran "will be very pleased" if it agrees to a deal with the United States.
The day before, Trump noted that Washington was close to concluding an agreement with Tehran on its nuclear program. He noted that the United States is conducting very serious negotiations with Iran on a long-term peace, and there is a peaceful, not violent path to it.
Earlier, on May 11, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said that the country's complete abandonment of its nuclear program was impossible. In addition, he noted that it is planned to further develop Iran's peaceful nuclear industry and seek common ground during negotiations, which are needed, among other things, to show Tehran's desire for peace, not conflict.
On April 26, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Bin Hamad al-Busaidi announced the common desire of the United States and Iran to reach an agreement based on mutual respect and long-term commitments. It was clarified that during the indirect talks, the parties also discussed the possibility of lifting sanctions against Iran, subject to compliance with a number of requirements related to the nuclear program.
