Power supply at three mines in Leninsk-Kuznetsk and Polysaevo, Kemerovo region, has been restored. This was announced on May 16 by the governor of the region Ilya Seredyuk.

"The main ventilation fans have been put into operation," he said in his Telegram channel.

Seredyuk added that the miners will resume regular work after examining the mine workings, degassing them and pumping out water.

The fact that electricity was cut off in several mines and settlements in the Kemerovo region became known earlier that day. It was clarified that due to the shutdown of two overhead power lines, almost 30 thousand people were left without electricity. The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region later announced that it had organized a pre-investigation check on this fact.
