AvtoVAZ resumed sales of Lada Granta cars

In Russia, Lada Granta has become available for ordering again in an educational version for driving schools. The cost of the model is 1.08 million rubles, the press service of AvtoVAZ reported on May 16.

The Lada Granta training sedan has a certified design. Duplicate brake and clutch pedals are provided for the instructor, as well as a separate rear-view mirror. The backup pedals are driven by a metal shaft, and the "Student" identification mark is also provided.

AvtoVAZ emphasized that the model has been tested, certified and does not need to be modified or modified. The company indicated that the cost of self-retrofitting and re-registration of such a car is higher compared to the factory version.

The special Granta is equipped with a 90 horsepower engine and a manual transmission. The equipment includes air conditioning, driver's airbag, ABS, power steering, central locking and other options.

On May 14, AvtoVAZ announced that the Lada Granta family of cars will be expanded with the launch of a new modification of the liftback called Active Cross with increased ground clearance and a protective body kit.

Prior to that, on April 19, AvtoVAZ launched production of the Lada Iskra model at the Tolyatti plant and shared the details of the new product's equipment. It will be available in three body styles: sedan, station wagon and Cross-wagon with black unpainted plastic elements on the body. The novelty will occupy a market niche between the Granta and Vesta models. The start of sales of Lada Iskra is scheduled for July 20 this year. According to the head of AVTOVAZ Maxim Sokolov, the cost of a car starts from 1.2 million rubles.
