- The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation announced his desire to develop cooperation with Nepal

Russia aims to actively develop cooperation with Nepal, including with its law enforcement agencies. This was announced on May 16 by Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov during a meeting with his Nepalese counterpart Ramesh Badal.
"Russian-Nepalese cooperation is developing in many areas, including economics, culture, tourism, and interparliamentary cooperation. I also see significant potential for bilateral contacts in the law enforcement sphere," the Russian Prosecutor General said.
In addition, he spoke about the plans of the heads of the prosecutor's offices of the two countries to sign a "Memorandum of Understanding", which will become the legal basis for further cooperation in various fields, including scientific and educational.
The head of the Nepalese Supervisory Authority, in turn, supported the initiative and confirmed the active work on the document, the text of which is undergoing the final stage of approval.
On April 15, the heads of the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Russian Federation and the UAE, Igor Krasnov and Hamad Saif Al-Shamsi, signed a protocol on the establishment of a working group on combating crime and protecting citizens' rights. According to Krasnov, the organization's activities will increase the effectiveness of the fight against crime and strengthen cooperation between the countries.
