In some regions of Russia, the average prices of popular five-year-old used cars are noticeably lower than others. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia on May 16 where it is more profitable to buy used Lada Vesta, Kia Sportage and Toyota Camry.

So, the average price of a five-year-old Lada Vesta in Russia is 1.06 million rubles. At the same time, in some regions, buyers can save up to 10%. For example, in the Novosibirsk region, a car can be purchased for an average of 949 thousand rubles (-10.5%), in the Perm Region — for 950 thousand rubles (-10.4%), and in St. Petersburg — for 970 thousand rubles (-8.5%).

The average price of the Kia Sportage in the secondary market was 2.35 million rubles. In St. Petersburg, the crossover will cost 8.3% less — 2.16 million rubles. In Moscow, the difference is 4.3% (2.25 million rubles), and in the Sverdlovsk region — 3% (2.28 million rubles).

For a Toyota Camry with mileage, which costs an average of 3 million rubles, the most attractive prices are offered in the Novosibirsk region — 10% lower than the national average, that is, 2.7 million rubles. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, this model can be bought for an average of 5% cheaper (2.85 million rubles).

As Andrey Tumkin, Managing director of Avtoteka, explained, prices for popular models depend not only on the general market situation, but also on local supply and demand in each region. Therefore, a buyer who is willing to consider options in neighboring regions can save significantly.

Earlier that day, it was reported that from May 1 to May 15, 2025, prices for new cars in Russia were changed by seven brands officially represented on the Russian market, including UAZ, AvtoVAZ and Moskvich.

The day before, it was reported that the average price of a new Russian car in April 2025 reached 1.48 million rubles, which is 54.8% more than in February 2022. The average price for a used Russian car no older than 20 years in April 2025 was 0.6 million rubles, which is 26.1% more than in February 2022.
