On May 16, State Duma Deputy Igor Antropenko sent a letter to Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, in which he put forward a proposal to introduce continuous days off next year from May 1 to May 9.

As the deputy noted, Russian citizens constantly turn to him with requests to make continuous May days off.

In turn, Kotyakov said that he needed to familiarize himself with this proposal to introduce continuous days off.

"Let me get acquainted with this [proposal], because literally just this morning I read it in the media," Kotyakov told TASS.

Earlier, on May 15, Russian Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anthony Kotlyarov said that next year there would be no difficulties with the allocation of holidays and non-working days.

According to the information posted in the production calendar for 2025, the next four-day weekend will come in June due to the celebration of Russia Day and the postponement of the weekend from March 8 to June 13.

In the spring of 2025, Russian citizens had two three-day working weeks. The first one took place from April 28 to April 30, and the second one — from May 5 to May 7.
