- A captured militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the strikes of Ukrainian drones on his own

Yuri Troyanov, a captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), told on May 16 how his colleagues opened fire on their own military due to communication problems.
"It turns out that our people started hitting us, they started bombing us. It's such a mess that they open fire in their own way, probably more than once. There are some communication problems or something, and he opens fire in his own way," he said in a video provided by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The prisoner of war clarified that he had been forcibly mobilized by the territorial recruitment center (TCK, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine). According to the man, the staff of the Shopping mall caught him, and after that he was sent to the 157th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine without any training.
Troyanov added that they tried to throw the fighters into unprepared positions and leave them to their fate, and then, due to the disorganization between the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the line of contact, they were defeated by their own attack drones.
"They brought us <...>, loaded the magazines, gave us grenades, gave us shovels to dig in later, if necessary, and walkie—talkies. Well, they explained what we need to do. We were previously told that drones are there, if anything, do not be afraid. That's all, well, that's ours. <... > We were brought there, and we just started disembarking, and they immediately started shooting at us," the militant said.
Troyanov said that as a result of the attack, he and his friend were wounded, after which they hid for about 15 days in various cellars and destroyed buildings from attack by drones, APU grenades and Baba Yaga drones.
Alexander Brodovey, a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told on May 13 how a colleague saved his life by asking for help from Russian soldiers. He clarified that he learned on the spot that a colleague had contacted the Russian military and asked for help. Brodovey also called on his colleagues to surrender to Russian soldiers in order to survive.
