KHL named three nominees for the Best Rookie of the season award


The nominees for the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) best Rookie of the season award included Salavat Yulaev goalkeeper Semyon Vyazovoy, as well as strikers Egor Surin from Lokomotiv and Ivan Demidov, who played for SKA. This was reported on the KHL website on May 16.
"The winner of the Alexey Cherepanov prize is determined by the vote of the coaches of the teams that participated in the KHL championship. The KHL noted that Vyazovoy became the team's best goalkeeper at the end of the season. The hockey player played 37 matches, in which he scored 18 victories. This season, SKA's top scorer was 19-year-old Demidov, and he was also named the best rookie of the week seven times.
In addition, striker Surin broke the performance record for young Lokomotiv players in the Gagarin Cup playoffs.
On May 14, the KHL nominated three athletes for the Golden Stick award, which is awarded to the most valuable hockey player of the regular season. The list of contenders includes strikers Artem Galimov from Ak Bars, Joshua Livo from Salavat Yulaev and Maxim Shabanov from Traktor.
