Seven car companies changed prices in Russia in the first half of May


From May 1 to May 15, 2025, the prices of new cars in Russia were changed by seven brands officially represented on the Russian market, including UAZ, AvtoVAZ and Moskvich. This was reported on May 16 by the analytical agency Autostat.
For example, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has increased prices for all its models. Cars rose in price by 45-55 thousand rubles, the maximum increase was noted by the UAZ "Patriot", "Pickup" and "Pro" models.
The Moskvich automobile plant has increased the prices of two of its models: the Moskvich 3 crossover has become 38 thousand rubles more expensive, and the Moskvich 6 liftback has added 53 thousand rubles in price. Pickups of the domestic brand Sollers (ST6 and ST8) rose in price by 50 thousand rubles. The price of the Lada Granta Cross station wagon in the Quest version increased by 68 thousand rubles.
The Chinese brand Kaiyi has changed the prices of almost all its models. If the E5 sedan, as well as the X3 and X7 Kunlun crossovers have become cheaper (by 30-175 thousand rubles, depending on the model), then the compact SUV has increased in price by 25 thousand rubles.
BAIC's U5 Plus sedan has become more expensive by 25.5 thousand rubles. The X55 crossover in one configuration has become more expensive by 16 thousand rubles, and in the other two it has fallen in price by 35-40.5 thousand rubles. The X75 model in all trim levels, except for the top one, immediately lost 269.5–362 thousand rubles in price. And the BJ40 frame SUV has become cheaper by 75-384 thousand rubles.
Finally, the Haval Jolion 2024 crossover has fallen in price by 150,000 rubles.
The day before, it was reported that the average price of a new Russian car in April 2025 reached 1.48 million rubles, which is 54.8% more than in February 2022. The average price for a used Russian car no older than 20 years in April 2025 was 0.6 million rubles, which is 26.1% more than in February 2022.
On May 14, Alexey Podshchekoldin, president of the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (ROAD), said that prices for new cars in Russia could rise in the fall of 2025.
