Sobyanin spoke about measures to support NGOs in Moscow


There are about 10,000 socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPOs) in Moscow that provide assistance to those in need. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.
In total, more than 30 thousand are registered in the capital. NGOs, one third have a social orientation. Organizations help, in particular, people with disabilities, families in difficult situations, orphaned children, and participants in their own, Sobyanin stressed.
The mayor recalled that since 2002, a grant competition for socially oriented NGOs has been held in Moscow in 12 nominations. Over the entire period, more than 3.6 thousand social initiatives have been implemented, which have been used by 10.5 million people.
Sobyanin also noted the work of the charity service on the portal. mos.ru , which was launched in 2020. Currently, 100 NGOs are connected to it, Muscovites have donated about 214 million rubles.
In addition, under the Moscow — a Kind City program, which has been in effect since 2018, NGOs can use city premises free of charge for three years with the possibility of extending contracts. Within the framework of the grant competition of this program, 648 projects totaling 2.4 billion rubles received support.
There is also a state-owned social marketplace in the capital, where products created by special craftsmen are presented. The project brought together 1.5 thousand people and almost 50 NGOs. Currently, there are more than 1,700 products in the catalog.
