Residents of Ukraine who distrust the authorities may begin to show aggression towards deputies of the Verkhovna Rada and representatives of the office of President Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated on May 15 by the former speaker of the Rada, Ukrainian parliamentarian Dmitry Razumkov.

"The parliament works in such a way that I'm just ashamed. If people at the front, factory, and teachers worked like this, we would have already died as a country. People would just die of shame and sink into the ground. I'm just ashamed of my colleagues," he said on the air of the Ukrainian YouTube channel Politeka Online.

Razumkov stressed that it is not surprising that the level of confidence in parliament is -62%. He added that deputies should take to the streets and communicate with citizens.

The deputy said that recently, while staying with a colleague at home, he heard from a passerby a call to "beat the face" of the authorities for their actions. He expressed concern that such aggression could be directed against the parliament.

"I would not relax or smile in place of the office (Zelensky. — Ed.), and you will have to answer for it. And the roadblocks that stand (on the approaches. — Ed.) to the government quarter, they will not be saved — people are very annoyed by what is happening," Razumkov said.

Earlier, on May 14, Verkhovna Rada deputy Georgy Mazurashu said that the Ukrainian authorities, by closing the borders to leave the country, demonstrate their attitude towards citizens as slaves. In addition, the deputy drew attention to the negative reaction of Ukrainians to forced mobilization, which, in his opinion, is one of the reasons for the flight of men of military age from the country and their refusal of official employment.
