Joe Don Baker, the star of three Bond films, has died at the age of 89.


American actor Joe Don Baker has died at the age of 89. This was reported by The New York Times on Thursday, May 15.
Baker has starred in three James Bond films. He played a CIA agent in Golden Eye (1995) and the same character in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). He also portrayed the role of an arms dealer in "Sparks from the Eyes" (1987).
His last film role was a small role of a vengeful father in the drama "Mad" (2012) starring Matthew McConaughey.
Joe Don Baker was born on February 12, 1936 in Grousbeck, Texas. He was the only child of Doyle Charles Baker, a gas station manager, and Edna Baker. After his mother's death in 1946, he was raised by his aunt. In 1958, the actor graduated from the University of North Texas, and later served in the US Army.
