In St. Petersburg on May 15, a man in a state of drug intoxication fell into the Fontanka River near the Anichkov Bridge from the roof of a motor ship. On Friday, May 16, eyewitnesses told Izvestia.

"I ran on the roofs of motor ships, then jumped into the water. The rescuers got him," the source shared.

It is specified that the man hopped across the roofs of moored motor ships on the evening of May 15. As a result, he was unable to keep his balance and fell into the Fountain.

According to eyewitnesses, water police officers arrived at the scene and rescued the man from the water, throwing him a lifebuoy. At the same time, during the rescue operation, he resisted and screamed, sources said.

Law enforcement officers handed the man over to medical workers.

Earlier, on May 12, in St. Petersburg, a former employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service (UFSIN) attacked Alyona Chernysheva, a correspondent for 78 TV channel, during her work, when she was communicating with neighbors of a teenager injured by a firecracker explosion. The girl was diagnosed with a concussion, a closed craniocerebral injury, bruises and a bruise of the lower jaw on the left.
