WSJ warned about FEMA's unpreparedness for hurricane season

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) The United States will not have time to prepare for the hurricane season. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, May 15.
The newspaper claims that the agency is several months behind schedule in preparing for the hurricane season.
FEMA employees believe that one of the reasons for this failure was a shortage of personnel, a crisis in the leadership and the lack of a clear understanding of the future fate of the agency, which faced harsh criticism from US President Donald Trump.
Earlier, on January 25, Trump announced his intention to reorganize the US Federal Emergency Management Agency. He stated that FEMA is not coping with its responsibilities. He described the agency as slow, overly bureaucratic and too expensive for the federal government.
