Scammers began to use a new scheme of cyberbullying through sending emails from Google. This was announced on May 15 by the Department for the Organization of the Fight against the Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"Kaspersky experts are detecting a new phishing scheme through genuine emails from Google. The vulnerability allows you to re—send an official letter from the company, while changing the text," the agency said in a Telegram post.

The victim of such a scheme receives messages from a legitimate sender due to the opportunity provided by Google to create websites. However, emails from intruders lead the user to a phishing resource. The data that the victim enters on such a site will end up in the hands of scammers.

In this regard, the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation called for eliminating the vulnerability of the service to refuse to follow links from letters.

Earlier, on May 14, Igor Bederov, director of the Internet Search company, told Izvestia that fraud cases involving fake delivery services have become more frequent in Russia. The attackers pose as employees of order pick-up points (PVZ) of well-known marketplaces in order to extort personal data and money from citizens.
