The star of the film "Moscow does not believe in tears" Elena Zemlyanikina has died.

Elena Zemlyanikina, an actress of the film "Moscow does not Believe in Tears," was killed by a motorcycle on her way to university. This was announced on Thursday, May 15, by actress Ekaterina Strizhenova.

"There is great grief in our family, Sasha's older sister Elena Zemlyanikina died. She was in a hurry to join the students at the institute, crossed the road and was hit to death by a motorcycle," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

Zemlyanikina was born on December 17, 1958. In 1981, she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater Studio School. Zemlyanikina is the daughter of actress Lyubov Strizhenova and actor Vladimir Zemlyanikin.

The actress has ten films in her filmography. She played in the films "Moscow does not believe in tears", "Mistress of an orphanage", "Time to collect stones" and others.

The farewell to the actress will take place on May 17 at the Church of the Archangel Michael and Mary of Egypt in Moscow.
