In Berlin, one policeman was seriously injured and several others were injured during a demonstration in support of Palestine. This was reported by Bild on Thursday, May 15, with reference to the police.

It is specified that about 1.1 thousand people took part in the action, and about 600 emergency personnel accompanied the demonstration.

According to the publication, the conflict occurred because of the demonstrators' desire to move during the rally, while the police insisted on the opposite. Law enforcement officers were attacked by the protesters, trying to prevent them from moving.

"The policeman was pelted with cans and other objects, sprayed with red paint, and bottles and stones were thrown at them," the newspaper writes.

The newspaper reported that some demonstrators dragged one of the policemen into the crowd and trampled him, as a result of which he was seriously injured. He received an ambulance and was taken to the hospital.

Nine other law enforcement officers were also injured, and one of them was found to have a broken arm.

According to media reports, over 50 demonstrators have now been arrested.

Earlier, on April 12, a rally in support of Palestine was also held in the German capital. The demonstrators accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of genocide of the Palestinian people and demanded the liberation of Palestine.
