Senior Lieutenant Chunosov discovered a camouflaged AFU stronghold

Senior Lieutenant Yaroslav Chunosov received a combat mission to correct the fire of mortar, artillery and tank crews of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. While conducting reconnaissance to find new targets using a drone, Chunosov discovered a camouflaged stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Friday, May 16, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

Chunosov, using a drone, established that there was an accumulation of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel near the stronghold, as well as an enemy mortar crew. The senior lieutenant immediately transmitted the coordinates of the targets to the Russian gunners. With a precise blow, the enemy stronghold, personnel and mortar crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and determination of senior Warrant Officer Vladimir Gabeev, who stormed the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold as part of a group of the Russian Armed Forces. The enemy was already retreating, but opened mortar fire on the support area. One of the Russian soldiers was wounded. Gabeev promptly provided first aid to the victim, after which he carried him to a safe place. Then the senior ensign returned to his position and continued the battle. Soon, the stronghold came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, and Gabeev organized the early evacuation of the wounded soldier to the hospital.

The use of drones has been included in the training program for engineering troops.

Earlier, on May 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Corporal Alexander Pashkov was serving at an observation post when he noticed a Ukrainian UAV approaching Russian positions in the air. The soldier opened fire on the target, and the kamikaze drone detonated in the air.
