Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Oleg Salyukov Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, relieving him of his post. The relevant decree was signed on May 15 and published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

Prior to that, Salyukov was the commander-in-chief of the Russian ground forces.
