A man was injured in Gorlovka due to the detonation of a NATO submunition.


A civilian was injured as a result of the explosion of a submunition from a Western-made cluster munition in Gorlovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on May 15 by the mayor of the city, Ivan Prikhodko.
"As a result of the detonation of a kolokolchik—type submunition of the armed formations of Ukraine, a civilian from Gorlovka was injured," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the office of the administration of the head and government of the DPR for the documentation of war crimes of Ukraine, the submunitions used belong to 155-millimeter artillery ammunition from NATO countries, including HIMARS missiles. It is specified that the Ukrainian troops fired at least 23 shells of this caliber at Gorlovka.
The Governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, announced earlier that day that a civilian had died in an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the region. The governor expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
