The expert gave advice on choosing a high-quality bag.

When choosing a bag, it is important not only to evaluate its design, but also to understand how high-quality it is. Marina Toropova, head of the Sokolov Leather Goods brand, told Izvestia on May 16 how to make the right decision quickly.
The first thing you should pay attention to in the store is the fittings, she noted. Metal parts should be pleasant to the touch, have a uniform coating without scratches and roughness, be heavy and reliable. A good lock or zipper should open and close effortlessly, the expert noted. In addition, it is important to check the smoothness of the seams on the bag, their accuracy and the presence of the same distance between the stitches. Handles and fasteners must be securely fastened, without backlash and traces of glue.
Toropova also recommended looking inside the bag. The lining should be neatly sewn, not protruding or skewed anywhere.
"High—quality material is always pleasant to the touch, it does not seem too thin or, conversely, excessively rigid," the expert notes. A good bag keeps its shape when pressed lightly, does not deform. A simple test: try opening and closing the bag several times to see how convenient it will be to use it in everyday life," the specialist recommended.
The expert added that bags made of textured materials with fine relief, as well as models with a clear rigid frame, are considered more durable. They keep their shape better and look neat for longer, she explained.
"If you have doubts about the bag's material, check its composition and, if possible, request a quality certificate. High—quality eco—leather is a worthy alternative to natural leather: it is wear-resistant, diverse in texture and more environmentally friendly," concluded Toropova.
On May 7, Toporova told Izvestia about how to choose a bag color that won't get boring, will be easy to match with your wardrobe, and will remain relevant for several years. According to her, if you need the bag to fit everything and not become obsolete, it is best to choose basic shades — black, dark brown, cognac, graphite and dark blue. The expert urged to be careful with the beige color. She recommended choosing shades without a pronounced yellow or pink undertone.
