One in five Russians would like to put up a cottage for sale in order to buy an apartment in Moscow. At the same time, one in three (33%) estimates the market value of their suburban real estate at between 6 million and 10 million rubles, according to a study by the Level Group, which was reviewed by Izvestia on May 16.

At the same time, 31% of respondents believe that their cottage costs from 3 million to 6 million rubles, and one in four (26%) is sure that the cost is more than 10 million rubles.

"Considering the average cost of 1 sq. m. m in a new comfort-class building in the capital at the level of 377 thousand rubles, a budget of 12 million rubles is needed to buy a studio apartment. Therefore, by selling a cottage worth from 6 million rubles, you can purchase housing in a new building with a mortgage with 50% or more down payment," said Julian Ovechkin, head of the mortgage department of the company.

The majority (55%) of those who are ready to sell a cottage in order to buy an apartment in Moscow have suburban real estate in the Moscow region or in the immediate vicinity of the capital. So, one in three (35%) has a cottage in the far Moscow region (more than 40 km from the MKAD), 16% — in the near Moscow region (within 40 km from the MKAD), another 4% — about 10-20 km from Moscow. However, 45% of the respondents shared that they have such a house in another region of Russia. At the same time, 22% are located at a distance of more than 40 km from the city, 9% are within 40 km.

Earlier, on April 3, it was reported that 13% of Russians surveyed dream of buying real estate, whether it is housing at sea, in the capital or abroad. At the same time, 47% of respondents want to stop working and live on passive income. This is stated in the results of the <url> financial marketplace research.
