An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred in the Turkish province of Konya and was felt in Ankara, where the Ukrainian delegation is located. This was reported on May 15 by the Turkish newspaper TRTHaber with reference to the Office of Emergency Situations of Turkey (AFAD).

According to data posted on the AFAD website, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was recorded on May 15 at 15:46 in the Kullu district of Konya province.

Seismic activity occurred at a depth of 18.73 km. The tremors were felt by residents of not only Konya, but also nearby provinces, including Ankara.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya posted on the social network page X (ex. Twitter) that "all units of AFAD and other agencies immediately began checking the situation in the affected area."

"At the moment, there is no information about damage or casualties. I wish a speedy recovery to all those affected by the earthquake," the minister added.

An earthquake was reported on May 13 in the large volcanic area of the Phlegrean Fields in Italy. Its magnitude reached 4.4. An earthquake was detected west of Naples.
