- The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation talked about ways not to get into the dropper database

Russian citizens should not transfer the card to third parties, so as not to get into the dropper database. This was announced on May 14 in the press service of the Department for the organization of combating the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
"How not to get into the dropper database? Do not transfer your card to third parties, do not make transfers at the request of strangers, and in case of an erroneous transfer, contact the bank immediately. The main thing is not to participate in illegal schemes," the cards posted on the Telegram channel say.
The department also clarified that from May 15, the possibilities of droppers to withdraw and cash out money will be further limited.
"The Bank of Russia is forming a database on individuals involved in fraudulent transactions ("doppers"). It gets information from banks and law enforcement agencies," the cyber police added.
Individuals who have been included in the database can transfer no more than 100 thousand rubles per month starting from May 15.
On May 12, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that fraudsters disguised as buyers could steal bank card data by offering to pay for goods to the seller via a secure payment on an allegedly secure website. It was clarified that the attackers are contacting the seller in order to purchase the product. Then, when it comes to payment, they say they deposited the money into a supposedly secure account on a secure website, after which they send the victim a link that leads to a phishing website.
