A criminal case on negligence was initiated after the hospitalization of a child due to the fall of a football goal in the village of Malye Derbety in Kalmykia. This was announced on May 15 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic (SU TFR).

According to the agency, until May 12 of this year, officials of the Maloderbetovsky district administration did not fulfill their duties to ensure the safety of municipal property — a sports ground on the territory of the former school No. 2 in the village of Malye Derbety. In particular, they did not control her condition and did not take measures to improve and eliminate defects in sports equipment.

As a result, on May 12, during a juvenile game, a metal gate fell on one of them, causing him bodily injuries.

"The progress of the investigation <...> it is under the control of the leadership of the regional department of the TFR," the Telegram channel of the department says.
