Summer weather is expected in Moscow in the coming days, with thermometers rising to +20 degrees. Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service's Crisis Management Department, announced this on Thursday, May 15.

"The next four days will be almost summery, because there is a warm cyclone coming from the southwest. There will even be a thunderstorm tomorrow, the temperature in the afternoon is up to +20 degrees," Tsygankov told the Moscow city News agency.

At the same time, the forecaster noted that temperatures are expected to drop next week.

"Starting from Wednesday, the air temperature will be below normal, most likely, next week will be rainy and cool," he concluded.

Earlier in the day, Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, said in an interview with RT that a thunderstorm could be expected in Moscow and the western regions of the Moscow Region by the end of the working week.

He also did not rule out another frost in the capital at the beginning of the third decade of the month in an interview with Moscow 24.

Earlier, on May 14, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that May in Moscow, unlike the warm winter and abnormally hot April, can demonstrate an anti-record.
