The Kuban River and Hoof Lake in Kuban are treated against mosquitoes

The procedure for the destruction of mosquito larvae began in Ust-Labinsk urban settlement (Krasnodar Territory) on Thursday morning, May 15. The territories near the Kuban River and Lake Hoof are being disinfected with toxic substances, the press service of the local administration reports on Telegram.

A preventive measure is necessary to prevent the mass reproduction of blood-sucking insects. Local authorities recommend that residents do not visit these areas until the disinfection work is completed, so as not to harm their health.

As noted by KrasnodarMedia news agency, similar events take place in different regions of Kuban. Similar mosquito prevention has been successfully carried out in a number of green areas of Krasnodar, such as the Chistyakov Grove and Sunny Island Park.

Earlier it was reported that basil, tea tree and geranium oil will help protect against mosquitoes. Such oils can be sprayed indoors with diffusers and applied to the skin.
