European countries do not want peace in Ukraine. This was stated on May 15 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a solemn meeting of the Diplomatic Club "Culture without Borders: the role and development of cultural diplomacy."

"There is a lot of evidence that neither Berlin, nor Paris, nor Brussels, nor especially London really want any peace in Ukraine," he said.

According to the Foreign Minister, Europe intends to sabotage the negotiations between Moscow and Kiev because of its interest in continuing the conflict.

At the same meeting, Lavrov said that the West does not like Russia's independence, which is why he wants its strategic defeat.
