In the village of Tetkino in the border area of the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired at the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This was announced on May 15 by the press service of the Kursk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC).

"As a result of a targeted attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Church of the Intercession <...> in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region was damaged," the diocese's VKontakte page says.

It is noted that due to the attack by Ukrainian militants, the temple burned out from the inside. Information about the victims is currently being clarified.

Alexander Khinshtein, acting governor of the Kursk region, reported on May 7 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had attacked a temple in the region with the help of a drone, as a result, the roof was damaged. According to him, the building was also filled with smoke due to the enemy's attack, but without a fire.
