The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate will hold a three-day preventive event "Drunk driver" in the capital. The agency announced this in its Telegram channel on May 15.

The raid will take place from May 16 to May 18. The State Traffic Inspectorate called on road users not to remain indifferent to the problem of drunk driving and promptly inform the police at 102 or 112 about drivers who behave inappropriately on the road and pose a danger to themselves and others.

"Employees of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate are ready to take all prompt measures to respond to reports of drunk driving. The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds all motorists that alcohol consumption and driving are incompatible things that can lead to terrible consequences," the department stressed.

The last raid of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate was devoted to the suppression of violations related to tinting that did not comply with the requirements of technical regulations on safety. Then, following the results of the raid, which was conducted from April 25 to May 12, traffic inspectors stopped 17.9 thousand violations related to exceeding the norms of tinting car windows.

The day before, it was reported that the State Duma is preparing to adopt a government bill that expands the rights of the State Traffic Inspectorate to revoke and revoke driver's licenses. It has been finalized for the second reading. The procedure will be applied if there are contraindications to driving during a medical examination or medical examination.
