A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Torskoye and Novoaleksandrovka in the DPR, units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of two mechanized brigades, three coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and three air defense brigades.

Also, the forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a crewless boat in the Black Sea, and air defense systems shot down eight JDAM guided aerial bombs and 169 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged infrastructure facilities of military airfields, ammunition depots, as well as temporary deployment points of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries in 149 districts," the Russian Defense Ministry added.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 662 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 57,275 unmanned aerial vehicles, 605 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,339 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,563 multiple rocket launchers, 24,911 field artillery guns and mortars, 35,489 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
