Sobyanin announced support for the Spasskaya Tower Music Festival

This year, Moscow will support the holding of the XVII International Military Music Festival "Spasskaya Tower" and events dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of poet Sergei Yesenin. The decree on the allocation of a grant from the city budget for these purposes was signed by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, according to the portal. mos.ru .

This year's festival is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War and the defenders of the Fatherland. It is expected that about one and a half thousand musicians from 20 bands from different countries of the world will take part in the show.

This year's Spasskaya Tower is held from 22 to 31 August. The main Russian participants will be the orchestras of the Ministry of Defense, Rosgvardiya, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs, FSB and FSO.

According to tradition, the main location of the festival will be Red Square. As in previous years, orchestra performances are also organized in parks, alleys, squares and other iconic places of the capital.

The Spasskaya Tower has been held in Moscow since 2007. During this time, the festival was attended by teams from almost 60 countries around the world. More than 900 thousand people became viewers of the large-scale event, and the audience of live broadcasts has exceeded 50 million people in the last five years alone.

2025 marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of the poet Sergei Yesenin. The key event dedicated to this date will be a concert at the State Kremlin Palace, which will take place on October 1.

Exhibitions, performances, lectures and film screenings will also be organized for the anniversary. In June, thematic events will be held at the Red Square Book Festival. In autumn, the Moscow State Museum of S.A. Yesenin will open the exhibition "1925. December", the exhibits of which will be unique archival documents.
