The Victory Museum summed up the results of the V International Festival of Proper Cinema. The closing ceremony was held at the Poklonka cinema on May 14. At the final event at the museum on Poklonnaya Gora, the authors of the best works were awarded. The winner in the nomination "Best documentary" was the film "Why Stalin is not Hitler" by Igor Prokopenko.
Also among the laureates are paintings from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, China, India, Iran, and Uzbekistan. So, the movie
Thus, the war drama "Time to Return" won the prize as the "Best Feature Film", and the "Best Animated film" was the Chinese cartoon "The Legend of Oryx". The winners of the festival were also the films "June Wormwood" ("Best Director"), "My Father is afraid of Water" ("Best Feature Short Film"), "Paper Flowers" ("Best Animated Short Film"), "Singer from Bukhara" ("Best Documentary Short Film"), "Hidden figures: The Big Game" ("Special Report"), "MOSGAZ: we don't abandon our own" ("Heroes of our Time"). The special prize of the Victory Museum was awarded to the film "The Hero City of Leningrad", and the special prize of the expert jury was the film "Cold Shooting of Hot Snow".
The winner of the Grand Prix was the film "9 seconds" directed by Oleg Strom. The painting is dedicated to the Hero of Russia, the sailor of the Pacific Fleet Aldar Tsydenzhapov.
In total, the competition received more than 300 applications from Russia and abroad, and 41 paintings were selected for participation. The participants of the film festival were films based on traditional values – humanism, charity, generational continuity and patriotism. As part of the festival, the Victory Museum hosted 11 cinematic premieres, creative meetings with directors, actors and producers, and concerts. In addition to the museum on Poklonnaya Gora, competitive screenings were held in the Moscow region, Donetsk, Astrakhan and Kaliningrad.
At the same time, more than a thousand venues in 72 regions of the Russian Federation joined the festival. These are the partners of the Victory Museum – participants of the international project "Victory Territory", the Association of Historical and Military History Museums and the School Museum of Victory program. The out-of-competition program, which included 32 feature films, documentaries and animated films, was shown at cultural and educational institutions. These include screenings in honor of the anniversaries of outstanding cinematographers.: Innokenty Smoktunovsky, Peter Todorovsky, Nonna Mordyukova and other actors and directors.
All screenings and events within the framework of the festival were held absolutely free of charge.
The festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory. The organizer of the festival is TM-Film LLC.
