Auto parts prices in Russia have increased by almost a quarter in a year

Car spare parts for common brands in Russia have risen in price by 15-25% over the year. This was stated by Tatiana Ovchinnikova, director of the international car service network Fit Service, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on May 15.
"We analyze the running parts indicators and see that for common brands, prices increased by 15-25% in March 2025 compared to March 2024. There are some items for which there has been a reduction in prices, for example, for running parts for German car models. But on average, the growth for all brands of "consumables" was about 15%," Ovchinnikova said.
According to her, body parts for most car brands (except Lada) have become more difficult to buy: there are fewer options, delivery times have increased, and the cost has increased. As a result, prices for used spare parts from this group have increased significantly.
Ovchinnikova stressed that "absolutely all" spare parts have risen in price, and prices have increased year-on-year much higher than the inflation rate. At the same time, consumers might not feel a sharp increase, since in the case of "consumables" it is possible to buy an option from another brand at the same price. As for Chinese brands, there are no problems with "consumables" for such machines, but the waiting time for more rare spare parts can be three months.
Yesterday, Alexey Podshchekoldin, president of the Association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD), said that prices for new cars in Russia could rise in the fall of 2025.
On May 13, it was reported that the average time to sell a car on the secondary market in Russia increased by 21% compared to last year. This applies not only to niche models, but also to mass-market cars that used to find a new owner in a matter of days.
