An emergency situation regime was introduced in the city of Abaza in the south of Khakassia, where flooding began due to rising water levels in the Abakan River. This was announced on May 15 by Mayor Valentina Filimonova in her Telegram channel.

"There is a overflow of the road to the Arbaty, the passage is closed from 12:00. The gardens of Krasnoarmeyskaya and Beregovaya streets are being flooded. Dacha societies are at risk. An order protection duty has been organized at the dam. The water growth in the river will continue throughout the day," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

Filimonova also asked the townspeople to observe security measures and be ready to evacuate.

On April 30, a regional emergency regime was introduced in the Tyumen Region due to flooding in five settlements of the Kazan and Abatsky districts.
