The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Novosibirsk region was arrested in a case of abuse of authority

Andrei Goncharov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Novosibirsk Region, was arrested in a case of abuse of office. This was reported on May 15 in the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

"The prosecutor's office supported in court the request of the investigation to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development of the NSO," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the punishment is provided for in Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority"). The court ordered the defendant to be detained for a period of one month and 29 days until July 12, 2025.

According to the investigation, in the period from May 2023 to January 2024, the man reduced the number of goods that were supplied under a state contract, and also illegally made payments to a limited liability company in the amount of about 95 million rubles.
