United Russia talked about the sections of the election program

The United Russia program for the 2026 State Duma elections will have a section dedicated to helping combat veterans, Vladimir Yakushev, secretary of the General Council of the party, told Izvestia.

"There is no way without this section. In our program, we will cover veterans of all combat operations.: participants in their own and other conflicts. I emphasize this at our forums that we hold in the regions," Yakushev told Izvestia.

Recall that at the EP congress in December 2024, a special section on the support of its participants was included in the party's program. United Russia will create opportunities for professional retraining of special operation participants and their family members, as well as provide comprehensive rehabilitation.

The competition in the preliminary voting of United Russia this year is six people per seat. This figure is growing every year, demonstrating the growth of internal party competition, Vladimir Yakushev, Secretary of the General Council of the EP, told Izvestia.

"Competition is growing, and this year, on average, six people are applying for one place in the preliminary voting. The number of women, SVO participants and young people is growing among the participants," the politician told Izvestia.

Electronic pre-voting is conducted in 57 regions of the Russian Federation as part of 227 election campaigns. At the moment, 22,509 applications from candidates have been submitted to the PG website, 21,336 applications have been registered. Among the candidates who applied for participation in the 940 procedure are participants in a special military operation.

A difficult election campaign is expected in the elections to the City Duma of Tomsk, municipal elections in the Trans-Baikal Territory and Khakassia, as well as the elections of the VDL and the legislative assembly of Komi and the Kostroma region, Secretary of the General Council of the EP Vladimir Yakushev told Izvestia.

In total, in September 2025, elections of the highest official will be held in 21 subjects of the Russian Federation, in 11 regions citizens will elect deputies to the regional legislative assembly.
