In the liberated Selidovo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), many local residents have already issued Russian documents and pensions, but they cannot withdraw money, as well as use online banks: there is no light or Internet. The townspeople told about it.

"The warriors give us food and medicine, they help us. But we don't have light or water. Fortunately, we have a spring in Selidovo — as they say, "The Lord's water", krinitsa. People have made wells, and it saves," pensioner Lyubov shared with Izvestia.

Often, locals are wary of speaking to the camera. Some explained this by the fear that the video clips of their interviews would then be used by Ukrainian propaganda, which cuts out scenes with civilians and reinterprets them in its own way. Others are afraid that enemy artillery will purposefully destroy the homes of those who are identified by the plots, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will hunt them.

According to a local resident named Irina, there is shooting almost every day, and she feels the apartment shaking.

At the time of the liberation of the city, more than 2,000 civilians remained in Selidovo. Of these, about 1,000 immediately expressed a desire to evacuate to the rear areas of the DPR, and about 1,000 more continue to be in the city, said the military commander of the 5th military commandant's office, Lieutenant Colonel Polishchuk.
