The Russian Defense Ministry told the details of the liberation of Mirolyubovka


The Russian Ministry of Defense on Thursday, May 15, shared details of the liberation of the Mirolyubovka settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by the military of the Center group of forces.
Thus, the assault units advanced under intense enemy fire. Overcoming the distance under artillery fire and attacks by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Russian servicemen in small mobile groups were able to break through to enemy positions.
It is specified that before the offensive, large-scale artillery preparation was carried out, as well as air strikes on the fortified borders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). After entering the settlement, the fighters consistently cleared it of militants, forcing them out of hiding.
The military department noted that a significant number of enemy armored personnel carriers and pickups were disabled during the operation. In addition, the operators of the FPV drones inflicted precise strikes on the equipment, disrupting logistics and the transfer of enemy reinforcements. Despite fierce resistance, the Ukrainian formations were forced to withdraw, suffering significant damage in personnel and weapons.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the liberation of Mirolyubovka is the result of the coordinated interaction of assault troops, gunners and operators of drones of various types.
The day before, on May 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated the village of Mikhaylovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. In addition, the Russian army defeated the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Krasnoarmeysk, Novoaleksandrovka, Ulyanovsk, Novaya Poltavka, Mirolyubovka, Dimitrov, Petrovskoye and Novosergeyevka in the DPR.
