Several employees of the Individuum publishing house were detained amid searches at the Eksmo publishing house related to Popcorn Books. This was announced on May 14 in a message posted on the official Telegram channel of the publishing house.

"The security forces came to the addresses of several of our colleagues at once, not only at home, as reported by the media. The work was spot-on. Now our colleagues are being interrogated by investigators as witnesses," the publication says.

At the same time, the publishing house stressed that they did not know for what reason the charges were brought and who would become a suspect. Additionally, Individuum announced the suspension of social media activity.

Earlier in the day, Eksmo's press service informed Izvestia that law enforcement officers had seized Popcorn Books from them in the case of LGBT propaganda (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia). They noted that Eksmo's lawyers are investigating the situation and are trying to obtain additional information. They have not yet been provided with official copies of the documents.
