In three years, Polish residents have changed their attitude towards Ukrainian refugees for the worse, and Poles are asking them to return to their homeland. This was announced on Thursday, May 14, by Oksana Pestrikova, refugee support coordinator.

"People say that children at school and people in line for a doctor's appointment are advising them to return home to Ukraine," she said in an interview with The Times newspaper.

According to Pestrikova, in 2022, Polish citizens were friendlier to Ukrainians, and now refugees are trying not to speak Ukrainian in public places.

According to the newspaper, about 1 million people fled from Ukraine to other countries, and most of them ended up in Poland.

Earlier, on May 3, the head of the Federation Council's information policy commission, Alexei Pushkov, said that in Poland, local residents were very tired of Ukrainian refugees and their requests. According to him, many Europeans are unhappy that some EU countries want to impose a false identity with Kiev.
