CSKA beat Zenit and reached the Superfinal of the Russian Football Cup


Moscow football club (FC) CSKA beat Zenit St. Petersburg 2-0 at home, the match took place on May 14 at the VEB Arena. After the victory, the Muscovites reached the Superfinal of the Russian Football Cup.

In the match for the main prize, the Army team will face the winner of the final of the Path of the Regions between Spartak and Rostov, the teams will play on May 15. The superfinal will be held on June 1 at the Luzhniki Stadium.
On May 10, CSKA also beat Krasnodar in the match of the 28th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The match took place in Moscow and ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of the hosts. Venezuelan striker Saul Guarirapa scored in the 69th minute of the match. Thanks to the victory of CSKA, the Zenit club from St. Petersburg reduced the gap from Krasnodar to one point.
