EKSMO publishing house confirmed the seizure of Popcorn Books by law enforcement officers. In a comment to Izvestia on May 14, it was explained that the initiation of a criminal case is related to LGBT propaganda (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist in Russia and is prohibited).
"Indeed, we have had the seizure of materials related to books published by Popcorn Books. Law enforcement officers have presented us with an order to seize a number of books in connection with the initiation of a criminal case," the press service said.
