Rosatom is ready to offer Serbia projects for both small nuclear power plants (NPP) and high-capacity power units to strengthen the country's energy system. This was announced on May 14 by Maria Deuric, Director of the state corporation's representative office in Serbia, at the Energy Transition of the Western Balkans Forum in Belgrade.

Rosatom is ready to offer its Serbian partners the full range of solutions: from low-power nuclear power plants based on RITM-200 reactors to high-power generation 3+ power units. Our technologies have already demonstrated their reliability and effectiveness both in Russia and on foreign platforms," she said in the Telegram channel of the state corporation.

She noted that the construction of a new nuclear power plant will create long-term conditions for the socio-economic prosperity of Serbia, as well as strengthen its energy independence. The new plant will become a reliable, efficient and carbon-free energy source.

Alexandri Silveira, Minister of Mines and Energy of South American Brazil, announced on May 13 that Brazil, together with Rosatom State Corporation, will begin construction of small nuclear power plants (NPP) in the near future. According to him, Rosatom is currently the only company in the world that has small nuclear reactors in commercial use.
