A multi-format radio studio has opened in the Moscow Metro

A multi-format radio studio has been launched in the Moscow metro, the press service of the Moscow Metro reported.
The guest of the first live broadcast was Yulia Temnikova, Adviser to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Transport and Industry, Deputy head of the Moscow Metro. She spoke about how the Moscow metro prepared for the celebration of the 90th anniversary.
"We will celebrate on a large scale, for several days. We invite everyone to join, because we have prepared a lot of interesting things! First of all, tomorrow, on May 15, at Sokolniki station and in the Moscow metro square, we will host a large-scale historical reconstruction of the opening of the subway. Fast forward to 1935 for the whole day. Around noon, a retro train will solemnly pass from Sokolniki to Park Kultury, just like back in 1935. And at six o'clock in the evening, the "There is a Metro!" march will take place in the Moscow metro square — this is also a reconstruction of the historical march that took place 90 years ago," Yulia Temnikova noted.
The adviser to the deputy mayor also added that the Moscow metro has become a platform for the development of new technologies. Preparations are underway for the launch of an unmanned train, testing of payment in digital rubles continues, and new digital stations are being prepared for the opening. Special attention is also paid to the popularization of innovative ways of paying for travel, including payment using biometrics. "By the end of this year, we plan to connect all turnstiles in the metro to biometrics, and we plan to launch the service at all stations of Moscow's central diameters by the end of 2026," Yulia Temnikova added.
The studio will go live every day, morning and evening, with special broadcasts and interactivity, themed music screensavers, interesting facts about the subway.
